Tilegne Therapy is a multidisciplinary clinic that offers Speech, OT, Music Therapy and dietetics. We aim to offer a service where our therapists can work together in order to support the goals of each patient.
Speech Pathology
We offer speech pathology to the young and old. For children we specialise in: Hanen, Autism, Talktools, Social skills, Articulation & Stuttering programs. For adults we specialise in: managing communication, swallowing & cognitive difficulties that may arise from medical conditions (e.g. Stroke, Parkinson’s), or head/ neck surgery or disability.
Physiotherapy
Our Melbourne and Adelaide based Physiotherapists are experts in movement & function, helping clients relieve pain and achieve independence. We work with a variety of medical conditions including sport, exercise, injury, ageing or disability.
Dietetics
Our Accredited Practising Dietitians are passionate about promoting health, illness prevention and treatment, achieving optimal nutrition. We offer dietetics for children e.g. fussy eating, underweight, obesity and dietetics for adults e.g. diabetes education, dietary and nutrition advice.
Music Therapy
Our Registered music therapists can help the young and old to improve health, functioning, wellbeing and enhance quality of life. We can help with Autism, social skills, speech-language development, motor skill development, body movement, memory, cognitive function and pain management.
Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapists help clients achieve their full potential. We can assist with self-care tasks, fine motor skills, home modifications or adaptive equipment.

Speech Pathology For Adults
Our adult based speech pathologists are skilled in assisting those that have trouble with swallowing as well as cognitive difficulties that may have arisen from medical conditions such as stroke or Parkinson’s.
Our adult-based Speech Pathologists can help with the following areas:
- Swallowing and eating difficulties (dysphagia)
- Speech and articulation
- Expressive language (use of words, sentences, gestures and writing to convey meaning) & Receptive language (understanding)
- Voice therapy
- Functional communication (augmentative and alternative communication, e.g., iPad)
- Tracheostomy
- Improve the appearance of texture-modified foods, including appealing recipes for smoothly pureed diets
Speech Pathology For Children
Our pediatric speech pathologists are skilled in assisting your child from birth to 18 years to communicate, eat and play. We are passionate about working with children to help in the following areas:
- Hanen, TalkTools, Social skills, DIR Floortime, Articulation & Stuttering programs
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (including diagnostic assessments)
- Speech clarity
- Expressive language (use of words, sentences, gestures and writing to convey meaning) & Receptive language (understanding)

- Reading/writing (literacy)

For Adults
Our occupational therapists are passionate about helping clients improve their independence, participation, engagement and well-being, mobility and thereby improving their quality of life. Our highly-qualified OTs are skilled to:
- Assess and supply equipment for Activities of Daily Living (ADL) e.g. toilet raise, gait aids, back washers, pick up sticks
- Assess and modify clients’ homes and/or community environments to improve safety and independence and prevent falls e.g. ramps/ rails
- Improve function in clients with dementia
- Improve upper limbs function, coordination and movement
- Strategies to conserve energy
For Children
Our paediatric occupational therapists are skilled to help in the following areas:
- Gross motor skills (such as standing, walking, running, and sitting upright. They also include hand-eye coordination, e.g., throwing, catching and kicking).
- Fine motor skills (coordination of hands and fingers, e.g., doing up buttons and zips, using pencils, writing, and tying shoelaces).
- Sensory processing e.g., sensitivities to loud noises or light, movement seeking, and meltdowns
- Attending and concentrating
- Self-care tasks, e.g., toileting and dressing.

Dietetics

Music Therapy
Our passionate music therapists are skilled in evidence-based clinical use of music to improve clients’ quality of life. We can see children with a range of special needs, adults, geriatics, mental health conditions and also provide joint therapy with other professionals within our multidisciplinary team.
